Smartphone privacy is an important concern for all device users. However, the personal data can’t be protected when the device is physically picked up by someone. There are many instances when you don’t want others to check your device. Parents would want to keep their handsets away from kids as they may delete important data while playing around with the device. You may even have a sibling and don’t want him/her reading your personal messages 
. How can you prevent the device from getting into the hands of others? Well, you can’t, but you can be notified whenever it’s happening through Simple Alarm System.
This is a new app released on the Play Store by Bandiago. The purpose is simple; notify the device owner whenever someone else picks the device. There’s a default alarm system included so the app can be used right away.
Upon downloading the application, a new icon is created on the homescreen. Tapping it will take you to the main interface of the application. Over here, there is a big circle with an unlock sign and rest of the background is black. By default, the alarm is deactivated.
The default alarm can be turned on or off by tapping the circle which shows the lock icon on the main screen. The alarm will be activated for ‘sleep mode’.
Additionally, there are 4 more buttons present at the bottom of the main screen. Tapping the first button present at the bottom left of the screen takes you to the main screen from whichever screen (Settings, recording etc.) you’re using at the current time. The button next to it is for recording the default alarm in your own voice.
The third button takes you to Settings. Here, you can toggle three options; Activation Time, Unlock Time and Sensitivity Level. The activation time is the time lapse between the alarm and when the screen turns off. The unlock time is the time required to unlock the phone, and the alarm will activate if it doesn’t get unlocked within the specified time. The last option, sensitivity level, determines the motion sensor.
The fourth button at the bottom right displays the information for different actions to be performed.
It’s a simple app with a simple functionality, which notifies you whenever your device is being used by someone else other than you. Apart from the ad at the bottom, no other limitations were found while testing the app.
